Future Ice Bears

What It's All About

Upper Arlington Future Ice Bears (FIB) is sponsored by the Upper Arlington Ice Hockey Association and intended to promote youth hockey within our community. Its purpose is to bring together local elementary and middle school-aged hockey players who may be playing in any of the various programs throughout Central Ohio.

Future Ice Bears gives players in our community the opportunity to meet other players, make friends and build relationships as they make their way towards the high school hockey program and potentially one day being teammates and Golden Bears!

Ages

Future Ice Bears is intended for K-8th grade student-athletes in our community who are currently playing hockey or may have an interest in trying it!

When

Programming is available throughout the year and we frequently facilitate community service opportunities.

Future Ice Bears participate in Spring Pond Hockey (Mar-May), summer skating camps, and various events throughout the fall and winter hockey season including Future Ice Bear Night!

Where

The UA Ice Hockey program's home rink is the OhioHealth Chiller Ice Haus at Nationwide Arena.

Summer programming takes place there, and at various other Chiller Ice Rinks around the Columbus area.

Jerseys & Spirit Wear

Participants in our Spring Pond Hockey program through the Chiller, receive a UA jersey as part of their registration and fees. These jerseys are suitable for use during our other camps and events.

Other spirit wear is available from SquadLocker and 614 Hockey year round and throughout the season. Keep an eye out for promotions at UAHockey.com

Register as a member of Future Ice Bears to connect with classmates, friends and fellow hockey players throughout Upper Arlington.

Open to Elementary and Middle School students within UA Schools playing or interested in playing ice hockey.

Receive communications about programming and events offered by the Upper Arlington Ice Hockey Association, a booster organization supporting your Golden Bears Ice Hockey Program.
